Q: Can you have a Manhattan Blow Dry on chemically treated hair?
A: Yes, the Manhattan Blow Dry is suitable for all hair types and will not damage the hair.
Q: Can Manhattan Blow Dry be applied on top of permed, relaxed or straightened hair?
A: Yes, Manhattan Blow Dry can be applied to ANY hair over ANY previous chemical treatment.
Q: Is this treatment a permanent straightener?
A: No, Manhattan Blow Dry is based on Keratin, the hair's natural protein and will gradually fade out over time.
Q: When can I colour my hair?
A: It's best to colour your hair 3 days prior to the Manhattan Blow Dry process or from 2 weeks afterwards.
Q: How long does the treatment keep the hair straight and treated?
A: It will last up to 4 months, depending on the hair type. The treatment lasts longest on chemically treated hair like coloured or relaxed. On virgin hair the results will last longer after the second or third application.
Q: How long should I wait before washing my hair?
A: For best results, the hair should not be shampooed for the first 3 days after application.
Q: Can I tie my hair back or wear a ponytail?
A: No, not until you've shampooed your hair after 3 days.
Q: What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 3 days?
A: Blow Dry & Re-Iron immediately.
Q: How long does the process take?
A: Usually between 2-4 hours depending on hair length & type.
Q: What shampoo must be used before and after the treatment?
A: We recommend Kerastraight Shampoo and Conditioner. These products are Sodium Chloride free and help to maximise the longevity of your Manhattan Blow Dry. NB. Products containing Sodium Chloride will strip the Keratin from the hair.
Q: When should I have my next Manhattan Blow Dry?
A: After 3-4 months or as needed.
Q: Can I have the treatment every month?
A: Yes
Q: Can I use any hair-spray, gel, mousse, or any other hair products on my hair during the 3 day period?
A: No, hair must be left completely natural until it is first shampooed after 3 days.
